F\u00fcr die Br\u00fcckenmusik 31 pr\u00e4sentieren Ed Atkins und Chris Shields<\/strong> mit \u201eAdvice\u201c, eine eigens f\u00fcr den 440m langen Hohlraum der Deutzer Br\u00fccke konzipierte Klang- und Bildinstallation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Publikum wird von durch eine Winde gezogenen Lautsprechern, die sentimentale Musik und Kl\u00e4nge wiedergeben, ins Dunkel gelotst. Das von au\u00dfen eindringende Tageslicht wird abgeblockt, gelenkt, geb\u00fcndelt oder eingef\u00e4rbt \u2014 ein Kino des Zufalls ist zu entdecken.

en \/ Ed Atkins and Chris Shields<\/strong> present \u2018Advice\u2019, a <\/em>work of sounds and images conceived for the hollow tunnel of the Deutzer Br\u00fccke \u2014 440 metres of darkness suspended between river and rail.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors to \u2018Advice\u2019 will be drawn into the dark and back by winched speaker-guides voicing sentimental music and sound; light from the outside will be everywhere stoppered, coaxed, focused and coloured; an incidental cinema will be discovered.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ed Atkins <\/strong>(*1982 in Oxford, Gro\u00dfbritannien, lebt in Kopenhagen, D\u00e4nemark) ist vor allem f\u00fcr computergenerierte Videoarbeiten, reflexive Prosatexte und Performances bekannt. 2025 wurde eine gro\u00dfe retrospektive Einzelausstellung in der Tate Britain in London gezeigt. Im selben Jahr ver\u00f6ffentlichte Atkins au\u00dferdem unter dem Titel \u201eFlower\u201c eine Anti-Autobiografie.

Chris Shields<\/strong> (*1992 in Wien, \u00d6sterreich; lebt in Kopenhagen, D\u00e4nemark) ist Komponist im Bereich experimenteller Elektronik. Seit 2017 ist er leitender Ingenieur des \u201eGeological Survey of Denmark and Greenland\u201c, einem Langzeit-Klimaprogramm zur \u00dcberwachung und Erforschung des Eisschildes in Gr\u00f6nland. Shields ist Herausgeber des Magazins \u201eFool Tide\u201c.

Chris Shields<\/strong> (*1992 in Vienna, AT, lives in Copenhagen, DK) is a composer of experimental electronic music and a lead engineer at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland\u2019s long-term climate monitoring program of the Greenland ice sheet. Shields is the founder and editor of \u2018Fool Tide\u2019, a periodical newspaper.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
